Is Academia the Only Choice?

Wednesday August 20, 2008
The culture of graduate school leads many PhDs to believe that a career in academia is the best choice and the only choice. Not so. Many PhDs leave academia and find rewarding careers. It just takes a little research and a lot of soul searching to find career options that you can not only live with but love. PhD Fusion is a networking site for PhDs interested in nonacademic careers. Take a look around as it's a good place to make contacts with other doctoral students and PhDs who are interested in looking beyond academia and for meeting those who have succeeded in carving out a career in the "real world."
