Free Online Courses

Thursday January 17, 2008
If you're reading this, you're probably a college student who is applying to graduate school, a bachelor's degree holder who is applying to graduate school, or a current graduate student. Why would you want to access free online courses offered by top universities? As an undergraduate, you might be enrolled in a class that just isn't gelling -- you don't quite grasp it all. Review the free online version of that course for another perspective. Likewise, if you're preparing for a graduate admissions interview, you might want to review material relevant to your field or learn new info that can help you prepare for the interview -- and perhaps even help you think of questions to ask at your interview. Finally, current graduate students who work as teaching assistants or instructors might find the alternative perspective provided by a free online course useful. Check out this list of universities that offer free online courses.
