Is an Online Graduate Degree a Waste?

Monday February 21, 2005
In the GradSchool Forum, Zeshan20 asks, "I'm thinking about applying to an Online MBA program. It seems like there are a million online programs out there right now. I was wondering how they are viewed in the business world? Will they actually help me advance in my career or am I wasting my time and money?"

Oddsbeat explains "I have an online MBA from Phoenix, and I will soon be in the job market. I believe that the first job out of the MBA will determine your success.....One thing to keep in mind is that just because it [a degree] is online does NOT make it less difficult. You have to be even more disciplined than the average traditional MBA student. Do research before pursuing it. I, personally, obtained a very good education; it is what you put into it." Talk about online graduate programs.
